Our House
The large detached period house in its own private grounds is approached by a sweeping gravel drive bordered with lawns, roses and evergreens. There is a large secluded garden, a quiet place to relax and unwind with a good book. There is a large fishpond, wildlife pool and a summerhouse, and a decked area beside the conservatory for our guests to enjoy.
Rosedale
Situated in the main house on the south elevation, this elegant four-poster room has an ensuite bathroom with double ended bath and shower over. With large double aspect windows views are easterly to the River Till and southerly towards Chillingham woods. Tea-making facilities, fridge, digital TV, DVD player and IPod/Phone docking station ensure your entertainment. We have free Wi-Fi available and can also offer laundry facilities.
Mansfield
This west facing spacious room has a king-sized bed and ensuite double shower. It is decorated in more contemporary fashion shades and is equipped with flat screen TV/DVD, drinks fridge and tea-making facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Buccleuch Garden Suite
This luxurious ground floor suite offers a large ensuite bathroom with bath and a low level entry shower suitable for wheelchair users with assistance. Access is gained by either an internal door to the house or a separate external entry for disabled access. This room is available as a twin or super-king double. The separate lounge can be converted to a single for those who require a carer, partner or companion with its own private facilities and TV. A fridge, TV/DVD/Video and Ipod/Iphone docking station are standard in this suite. Private garden patio with table and chairs is accessed from the bedroom. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Breakfast
Included in the room rate is an exceptional award winning breakfast with large menu offering vast choice. It is served overlooking our bird feeders and CCTV birdbox in the large dining conservatory. Using locally sourced produce your food is cooked to order ensuring freshly served food at all times. Both EnjoyEngland and the AA have awarded their highest award for the outstanding quality and service of food. All dietary needs are catered for.
A guest lounge
is situated off the conservatory and is beautifully furnished in peach, cream and duckegg shades. A TV is available and the perfect place to relax with friends for drinks, although we are not licensed you are welcome to bring your own alcohol (no corkage charges!) There is a multifuel stove for the colder months. Like our bedrooms your comfort is important to us and you are assured of a ‘home from home’ experience during your stay with us.
Our garden at the rear of the property is open to all of our guests to relax in and take in the views of our beautiful countryside.
